Most of the time during a newborn session, we start with parent images. These can be time consuming – if you’ve ever had a newborn, you know that a baby in mom’s arms wants to eat! So when I have a baby coming in for a baby-only session, I use that extra time to go a little crazy with extras colors and props!
Baby H’s mama told me she loved my normal neutrals…and blues, and greens, and grays, and allllll of my props! I told her we’d do our best to incorporate all of the things she loved, but that the decision was ultimately up to the little man. Well, H made his decision early – he was going to sleep no matter what we did to him! He didn’t wake up through hat changes, wraps, poses, accessories – nothing fazed him! Sleepy babies are awesome. In the end, mama got a full gallery of all the things she loved, and I got to use just about every boy color I own!
