I first met baby Mila’s gorgeous family for her big sister’s cake smash session about a year and a half ago. To this day, Zara holds the studio record for most effective cake smasher – it was something special, let me tell you… I have never seen a baby go to town on a cake like that, and I was so excited to see how my destructive little buddy was doing! Zara is doing great, and is completely rocking her new role as Mila’s big sister. She was a little unsure of the camera at first, but once she figured out what was going on, she gave me her biggest grins, and snuggled right up to her sister! She finished her task, got a treat, and headed home with dad – mission accomplished!

Once we sent Zara and daddy home, it was Mila time! Mom had sent me a photo ahead of time, so I knew that Mila had AMAZING dark hair, gorgeous lashes, and the prettiest little face. I couldn’t wait to show it all off! One of my favorite parts of having baby girls in the studio is choosing which of my gorgeous headbands to use. I have so many – it’s a problem… One of my absolute favorite vendors for headbands is Wild Thistle. She makes the most gorgeous items with beads, silk, dried botanicals, and little gems. I think I used four of her items for Mila, including the gorgeous copper headband that I had been dying to use! Getting to shop for a living is seriously the best!

No matter what we put on her head, wrapped her in or posed her on, Mila was a star. I don’t think she made a peep the entire session, and I loved my nice relaxing morning with her and her mama. Welcome to the world, Mila. I can’t wait to see you for your cake smash – you have a lot to live up to!
