I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it many times in the future: I love seeing my newborn clients’ nurseries! Baby Ruby’s nursery is seriously #goals. The beaded chandelier, little baby Converse, fun accent pillows and fur rug are all so unique. And that wallpaper is to die for! Ruby is going to be one stylish kid.
Ruby and her parents clearly feel right at home in her gorgeous room, but the furry family members seem to like it just as much! Ruby’s fur-siblings – two cats and a dog – stuck pretty close to us while I photographed their new baby, and I don’t blame them. We were having a great time, and I can’t resist petting any animal that gets close enough! They got plenty of attention while we wandered the house photographing baby Ruby. The family’s beautiful German Shepard even sat in on the family portraits!
I’m so glad this sweet family – human and furry members alike – welcomed me into their home. The love they share is easy to see, and Ruby is going to grow up with some great protectors. I can’t wait to see her wearing those little pink Converse one day soon!
A quick (but important) note on the image of baby Ruby with her sweet dog: please do not attempt something like this at home. Even if your dog is super well-behaved, a pose like this can be dangerous without proper spotters and someone trained to know the signs of a baby that’s about to move (that’s me!) Ruby’s parents were on either side of her in this image, ready to shield her if their dog decided to get up, scratch her leg, move a paw, etc. Babies are fragile, and sometimes our wonderful pets don’t know their own strength!
