I think a lot of photographers have this irrational fear of working with teenagers. Teenagers can be moody, sulky and completely uninterested in photos with their parents. They’re scary, right? Wrong! While teenagers definitely require different tactics than toddlers, they are so much fun to work with. I love talking to teens and finding out their interests, their passions, and their goals. It’s easy to get a real smile out of someone talking about his favorite sport (all three of these kids run cross country!) or what her college plans are. And if the teens are happy, the parents will love their final images!
Which brings me to this adorable family of five. You can tell just by looking through a few of these images that these kids love each other, and their parents. They made my job so easy, and I really had a great time walking and talking with them. I hope that these sweet parents will cherish these memories as their oldest starts college!
