What does a family session with me look like? Am I a drill sergeant, lining everyone up in exact spots and yelling “Say cheese!”? Do I expect you to know how to pose yourselves? Will I ask you to act like completely different people for that perfect shot? Will I judge you when your kids totally lose it and run from my camera? Nope – none of those things are me!
So what does a family session with me look like? It looks like this! Like giggles and grins. Snuggles and wrestling. Reading a story. Running in circles. Dabbing (and teaching the totally out of touch photographer what that means!). Family sessions are meant to be fun! They’re meant to be a realistic representation of your perfect family – just dressed up a little nicer than normal! And yes, we’ll definitely get that one perfect, grandma-pleasing family photo…but you’ll probably fill your holiday cards with the more authentic images of your kids having fun and being themselves. Those are the ones we want to remember!
So please, dress everyone up and wipe the kids’ faces, but don’t forgot to be yourselves! We’ll have a great time and you’ll end up with images of your family that you’ll adore!
