When Nicole got in touch with me to schedule her maternity session, she was understandably nervous about an outdoor session in November. After all, we are the land of “heat wave on Wednesday, blizzard on Thursday”. So we decided to play it safe and schedule an indoor/outdoor session – the best of both worlds! We started indoors at the Cleveland Museum of Art. The museum has the most gorgeous atrium, and graciously allows photography. We dressed Nicole is a dual-layered gown, and enjoyed the beautiful light the museum offers. We even had a little fun with reflections – totally Daniel’s idea!
We had initially planned to do both the indoor and outdoor portions of Nicole’s session on the same day, but after a look at the forecast, we made a last-minute decision to postpone the outdoor portion until the next morning. I am so glad we did! Most people look at me a little strangely when I suggest a sunrise session, but Nicole’s maternity gallery shows off exactly why I love them. Look at that gorgeous morning light! And, on a December morning, we had the entire park to ourselves!
Congratulations, Daniel and Nicole. You are going to be amazing parents, and I can’t wait to snuggle that little boy!
