I think Duyen and Garrett win the award for “longest distance traveled for a session” – when they met me on a warm October evening for their maternity session, they were coming from central Pennsylvania! I learned that they were planning to move here, and decided to have me photograph their session while on a visit. I felt so honored that they chose me and went out of their way to plan with me. As the date wasn’t changeable in case of bad weather (which, in Cleveland, is almost as common as good weather…), they were taking a pretty big chance with me. I am so glad that their gamble paid off!
The evening of Duyen’s maternity session was absolutely gorgeous. We had bright, warm sun and a calm, clear beach. We started in the field, to get a few more casual images. I love the connection between these two, and the way they already love their baby so much. And Duyen’s burgundy dress from home was so perfect for the warm fall sunset. After the field, we trekked over to the beach for the main event!
For the beach portion of her session, Duyen chose a gown from my client closet. She went with my mauve/pink Kiara, from Sew Trendy, and she looked stunning in it! It was just the right amount of glam for this beautiful session. We walked the nearly empty beach (crazy!) and took advantage of all of my favorite spots. And the sunset we ended with was the perfect icing on the cake!
Thank you for choosing me, Duyen and Garrett! I loved meeting you and can’t wait to welcome you to Cleveland!
