This happy little man is Gino, and he’s almost one! I met Gino first for his sitter session, and he kept us laughing with his huge grin and silly self. We had such a great time that his mama couldn’t wait to plan his cake smash! On their way out the door, mama told me she was envisioning a pizzeria cake smash for Gino, and I thought it was an adorable idea!
I always start my first birthday sessions with portraits, and I thought my red brick backdrop was the perfect choice to match Gino’s cake smash setup. Gino looked so sweet in his little striped romper, and he gifted us with the grins I loved from his sitter session before we moved on to his cake smash! And how absolutely precious did this cake smash turn out?!
Gino may have looked the part of the perfect little Italian chef, but he was pretty unsure about his cake at first. We had a few tears, but once he got a taste of icing, he changed his tune, and went right back to smiles! He smashed up his cake, stuffed his face, and was pretty mad when the whole thing was over. Gotta love a kid who loves cake!
Happy almost-birthday, Gino! I had so much fun with you!
