What do you do when your family session is threatened by thunderstorms? Embrace it!

When I met this family at Brecksville Reservation, two thoughts immediately crossed my mind: 1. Those outfits are so perfect! I wonder where she got them? 2. (Looking at the sky) Well, that doesn’t look promising… But we were already there and they were already dressed (perfectly!), so we went with it! And I’m so glad we did. The cloudy skies at the beginning of our session were such a great backdrop for this family’s fun personality and fall colors. And I can’t say enough about what cloudy skies do for lighting <3 So we strolled through the tall grasses and made stops to cuddle and laugh. And by the end of the session, Mother Nature decided to give us a break! We got the most gorgeous sunset to cap off our time together, and we really did end up with the best of both worlds.

Thanks for sticking out the stormy weather with me, guys! I absolutely love the results, and I can’t wait to see what next year brings us!
