Sunny Summer - Beachwood Family Photos

I don’t schedule a ton of family photo sessions for the summer months. Sunset is super late in summer, and young kids often can’t be kept out past bedtime without disastrous consequences. Cranky kids = cranky parents (and a cranky photographer!). So we stick to fall and everyone is happy! When I have a family with older kids, though, I will always try to convince them to go for a summer session – they can be gorgeous!

This sweet family was completely happy with a summer session, and the weather decided to show off for us! We had the most beautiful, warm sunset that night, and it perfectly complemented the vibrant yellow mom chose for their outfits. I do love yellow! Everyone was thrilled with the warm weather, and it was so much fun walking the park with these four and chatting while working. And teasing some big smiles out of these typically reserved kiddos made my night!

So if you have older kids and are considering a summer session, go for it! The trees will be green, the sun will be warm, and it definitely won’t be snowing – which is saying something in Cleveland!
