Without a doubt, one of the worst things about COVID – from a photography perspective – was families missing out on their newborn photos. I know it may seem like a small thing, but babies are only newborns for a short time, and capturing those first moments with them is so important. This is especially true when we’re talking about a second or third baby, and parents are missing moments they had with their first. It’s heartbreaking! Unfortunately, I ended up having to cancel over a dozen newborn sessions while I was closed. Some we were able to reschedule for just a bit later, but some of these babies were three months old by the time businesses were allowed to reopen. So I offered those families the next best thing: fall family sessions!
Sweet Grace was one of my “COVID babies”, and her parents chose to take me up on a fall session. Though nothing can replace those newborn memories, look at how amazing these turned out! Grace and her big sis were adorable for me – Grace was sitting up pretty well and was all smiles, while big sis was fun and energetic. And how beautiful are these parents? This sweet, happy family ended up with images that they can look back on to remember that there were good things in 2020. And I got to meet baby Grace, even if it was a little late!
